This one-day virtual course is designed to help new tutors with limited experience build the confidence, understanding and practical strategies needed to deliver effective tuition and create positive learning experiences from the outset.
During the session, you’ll explore what effective tutoring looks like in practice, understand how to manage behaviour and engagement, and develop structured approaches that support pupil progress. You’ll also have opportunities to reflect, share ideas and learn from others.

Before You Attend:

Before You Join:
To take part and receive certification, you must:
Join the Zoom meeting between 9:20 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Be in a private, quiet space, free from distractions (including children)
Remain on camera and clearly visible throughout the session
Ensure your full, correct name is displayed on screen
Use a device with a working microphone, front-facing camera and stable internet connection
On arrival, share a brief summary of your experience working with children in the Zoom chat
Attendance Requirement:
This is a full-day, interactive session, and full attendance is required from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
If you’re unable to attend for the full duration or meet the requirements above, please rebook for a more suitable session. Failure to fully participate may result in removal from the session and/or certification not being awarded.
