Our UPDATED one-day course designed to help teachers and cover supervisors meet the expectations for inclusion detailed in the 2026 White Paper and to refresh/update those have not taught in a school for 3 years or more or are from overseas. As the government’s push for inclusion takes effect, more and more children with significant educational needs and who may have been formerly supported in an alternative provision, will be expected to complete their education in mainstream classrooms.

Safer Working Practices
Expectations, Assertiveness
Behaviour Management (including an introduction to ADHD, autism, SEMH and de-escalation)
Removing Barriers to Learning
Approaches to Differentiation
Summary
For compliance requirements, teachers / cover supervisors who have not taught in a school for 3 or more years or who are from overseas should complete the course BEFORE re-entering the classroom. This course is NOT suitable for Teaching Assistants (please book our other role-specific courses).

Course Requirements:
You can join the meeting from 9.20 – 9.30 a.m.
You should be in a private room, on your own, with no distractions (including children) – You will need to have your camera switched on and be CLEARLY VISIBLE for the full duration of the course.
Your name must be accurately displayed on screen.
You will need a device with a WORKING microphone, a front facing camera and a stable internet connection.

If you are unable to FULLY ATTEND from 9.30 a.m. to 3:30.p.m. please rebook for when you have suitable availability / can fully participate throughout.
Late joining or erratic participation resulting from inappropriate compliance with course requirements may result in you be removed from the course / denial of certification as it may undermine the value of the course to yourself and distracts other attendees and the course leader.
