Very Challenging Behaviours Webinar

Back to events
20 May 2026 09:30-15:30 Online

This is our Very Challenging Behaviour Webinar, a new 90-minute virtual session designed to help staff better understand and support pupils who display complex and highly challenging behaviours, most commonly seen in PRUs, special schools, and alternative provisions, but increasingly present in mainstream settings.

During the session, we explore what constitutes a serious behavioural challenge, why pupils may present these behaviours, and a range of proactive teaching strategies to prevent escalation. We also cover practical de-escalation techniques and signpost high-quality video resources to support further learning. A written summary of key points and supporting notes will be provided after the session.

Before You Book:
Please ensure you can attend the full 90 minutes from a private, quiet space, remain on camera throughout, and join using a device with a working microphone, front-facing camera, and stable internet connection. Your correct name must be visible on screen, and on arrival you’ll be asked to briefly share your experience working with children in the Zoom chat. If you cannot attend for the full session or meet these requirements, please rebook, as certification may be withheld.

Important Information:
Your Zoom link will be emailed to you a few days before the session, please check your junk folder. Late bookings will receive their link shortly before the course. If you have not received your link by 9 a.m. on the day, please contact your consultant, as duplicate links generally cannot be issued once the session has begun.
