Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Newark and surrounding areas
Pay: £85.44-£101.58 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-Day Supply, Part-Time & Long-Term Opportunities
Start Date: Immediate and September 2026 Starts Available

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their full potential.

Simply Education is working with primary schools across Newark and the surrounding areas that are looking for dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils within EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work, part-time hours, or a long-term placement, we have opportunities available to suit your needs.

The Role

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support where required
• Adapt activities and learning tasks to help pupils access the curriculum
• Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence within the classroom
• Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes, and school activities where required
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support pupil progress
• Foster positive relationships that help children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is beneficial but not essential
• CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is advantageous but not required
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Commitment to helping every child succeed
