Salary: £100 - £120 per day

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is your chance to make a real difference, supporting students to thrive both academically and socially in a nurturing, specialist environment.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and our on-site therapy team to create a positive, inclusive learning environment. You'll play a key role in helping students feel safe, build confidence, and actively engage in their education.

This school provides day placements for students aged 11-16 with:

  • Communication and interaction difficulties
  • Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia
  • Autism spectrum conditions
  • Anxiety and other barriers to learning

With small class sizes (max 10 students) and a minimum of 3 staff per class, you'll have the time and support to truly focus on each individual. You'll also benefit from:

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support their wellbeing and engagement
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and personal growth
  • Support the delivery of a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum
  • Work alongside the Class Teacher in the day-to-day running of the classroom
  • Support pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive

Essential requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent)
  • Level 2-3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferable
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Experience or knowledge of SEMH, ASD, or similar needs
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to location)
