An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, driven and inspirational leader to join a thriving secondary school as Director of Business & ICT and Whole-School Careers Lead.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional teacher and leader to shape the future of Business Studies, ICT and Careers Education across the school, whilst playing a key role within the Extended Leadership Team.

We are looking for someone with the vision, energy and leadership skills to drive outstanding teaching and learning, raise achievement and create a culture of excellence across the curriculum areas they lead.

The Role

As Director of Business & ICT, you will:

• Lead and develop outstanding provision in Business Studies and ICT
• Drive standards, outcomes and curriculum innovation across both departments
• Line manage and develop Lead Teachers and departmental staff
• Use data strategically to raise attainment and challenge underperformance
• Lead whole-school Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
• Ensure the successful delivery of the Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory careers provision
• Play a key role in whole-school improvement and strategic leadership
• Promote a culture of ambition, challenge and high expectations for all students
• Champion safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing across the school community

• Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with strong Business Studies expertise
• Has successful middle or senior leadership experience
• Can inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams
• Has a proven track record of raising standards and improving outcomes

• Demonstrates strategic thinking, resilience and excellent organisational skills
