A thriving and ambitious secondary school in Kent is seeking an inspirational and driven Director of Learning - English to lead a passionate department and continue raising standards across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or current middle leader ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

The Role:

• Lead and develop the English curriculum across KS3 & KS4
• Drive outstanding teaching and learning within the department
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
• Support, coach, and develop teaching staff
• Promote a love of reading, writing, and literature across the school
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and enrichment initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold UK QTS
• Have strong experience teaching English within a secondary setting
• Demonstrate successful leadership or middle management experience
• Have a proven track record of improving student outcomes
• Be passionate, organised, and committed to high standards
• Possess excellent communication and team leadership skills
