💷 Salary

  • MPS/UPS scale: approx. £32,916 - £51,048 per year
  • Pay progression available based on performance and experience

📚 Role Overview

The school is seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a high-performing English department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

You will be expected to:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature
  • Support students preparing for GCSE examinations
  • Develop pupils' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and resources
  • Use assessment data to track progress and inform teaching strategies
  • Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on an ECT pathway
