- MPS/UPS scale: approx. £32,916 - £51,048 per year
- Pay progression available based on performance and experience
📚 Role Overview
The school is seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a high-performing English department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
You will be expected to:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature
- Support students preparing for GCSE examinations
- Develop pupils' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills
- Contribute to curriculum planning and resources
- Use assessment data to track progress and inform teaching strategies
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment
🎯 Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on an ECT pathway
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
