Location: Wisbech
Salary: £28,288 - £44,304 per annum
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start Date: 1st September
Qualifications: QTS/QTLS essential

Simply Education are excited to be working with a specialist SEND school in Cambridgeshire to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher with an English specialism.

The Role

As the school's English specialist, you will:

  • Lead and deliver the English curriculum across the school.
  • Plan and teach engaging, differentiated lessons for small classes and individual learners.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Prepare teaching resources, complete registers, assessments and reports.
  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - essential.
  • Experience leading or overseeing the English curriculum.
  • A minimum of two years' experience working within a SEND, SEMH or alternative provision setting.
  • A strong understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
