Salary: Paid in line with the Teachers' Pay Scale
We are seeking a passionate, nurturing and highly skilled EYFS teacher to join our Outstanding 3-form entry primary school in Colchester from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality EYFS provision in line with the Early Years Framework
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Support children's early language, literacy, numeracy and personal development
- Use continuous provision effectively to enhance learning opportunities
- Observe, assess and record pupil progress accurately
- Use assessment information to inform planning and next steps
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across the EYFS team
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Promote high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
- Support children's social, emotional and physical development
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and continuous improvement
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and early years practice
- Has high expectations for all learners
- Is committed to ongoing professional education and training
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Works effectively as part of a team
- Is reflective, creative and passionate about early childhood development
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
