We are seeking a passionate, nurturing and highly skilled EYFS teacher to join our Outstanding 3-form entry primary school in Colchester from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality EYFS provision in line with the Early Years Framework
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Support children's early language, literacy, numeracy and personal development
• Use continuous provision effectively to enhance learning opportunities
• Observe, assess and record pupil progress accurately
• Use assessment information to inform planning and next steps
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across the EYFS team
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Promote high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
• Support children's social, emotional and physical development
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and continuous improvement

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and early years practice
• Has high expectations for all learners
• Is committed to ongoing professional education and training
• Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Works effectively as part of a team
• Is reflective, creative and passionate about early childhood development
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
