Location: Basildon, Essex
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Paid in line with the Teachers' Pay Scale

We are seeking a passionate, creative and highly skilled EYFS teacher to join our Outstanding 3-form entry primary school in Basildon from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality EYFS provision in line with the Early Years Framework
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning opportunities that support all areas of development
  • Use continuous provision effectively to enhance learning outcomes
  • Observe, assess and track pupil progress accurately
  • Use assessment information to inform planning and next steps
  • Work closely with colleagues across the EYFS team to ensure consistency
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Promote high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
  • Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and early years practice
  • Has high expectations for all learners
  • Is committed to ongoing professional education and training
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is reflective, creative and passionate about early childhood development
  • Works effectively as part of a team
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
