Location: Kent

Contract: Fixed Term (September 2026 - December 2026)
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)

Simply Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Kent to recruit a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher for a fixed-term position commencing in September 2026 and running until December 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Humanities department and inspire students through engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Geography lessons, promoting excellent progress and attainment, and creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school and department.
  • Supporting students to develop a deeper understanding of both physical and human geography.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Possesses excellent classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to raising standards and achieving positive outcomes for students.
  • Can quickly establish positive relationships with students and colleagues.
