Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)
Simply Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Kent to recruit a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher for a fixed-term position commencing in September 2026 and running until December 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Humanities department and inspire students through engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Geography lessons, promoting excellent progress and attainment, and creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school and department.
- Supporting students to develop a deeper understanding of both physical and human geography.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Possesses excellent classroom management skills.
- Is committed to raising standards and achieving positive outcomes for students.
- Can quickly establish positive relationships with students and colleagues.
