About the Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Provide targeted support with reading, writing, phonics, mathematics and other curriculum areas.
• Assist pupils with understanding and completing classroom activities.
• Help prepare and organise teaching resources and classroom materials.
• Support pupils who require additional assistance to access the curriculum.
• Encourage children to develop independence, confidence and resilience.
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Promote positive behaviour and reinforce classroom expectations.
• Build positive, professional and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Support teachers with observations and assessment of pupil progress.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and the SENCO.
• Support pupils during break times, lunchtimes and school activities where required.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
• Assist with classroom displays, resources and general organisation.
• Support school trips, enrichment activities and wider school events.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Promote equality, inclusion and the wellbeing of every pupil.

About You
