An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Physical Education professional to lead a successful PE department within a thriving secondary school in Uttoxeter.

The school is seeking an inspirational leader who can continue to develop the PE curriculum, raise standards of achievement and promote a culture of participation, health and wellbeing across the school community.

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Head of Department or an experienced PE Teacher who is ready to take the next step into middle leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum leadership, staff support, student achievement and the continued development of extra-curricular sport.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PE department
• Drive curriculum improvement
• Raise attainment across all year groups
• Monitor teaching and learning within the department
• Support and coach departmental staff
• Develop sporting opportunities throughout the school
