Salary: £69,332 - £76,481 (FL12 - FL16)
40 hours per week

Simply Education are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN school to recruit an exceptional Head of School to provide strategic leadership and operational excellence within a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

You'll play a key role in shaping school culture, driving standards and creating an environment where pupils, staff and families can thrive.

The Role

As Head of School, you'll work closely with the Principal to lead the day-to-day running of the school while supporting long-term strategic development and school improvement.

You'll oversee quality of education, safeguarding, attendance, wellbeing and operational performance, ensuring pupils receive the highest standard of support and opportunity.

This is a highly rewarding leadership role for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to achieving exceptional outcomes for young people with additional needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the day-to-day operational management of the school
  • Driving pupil attendance, progress and positive outcomes
  • Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing remain central to school culture
  • Leading and developing a resilient, high-performing staff team
  • Monitoring standards, compliance and school performance data
  • Supporting school improvement and strategic development plans
  • Working collaboratively with senior leaders, families and external professionals
  • Maintaining high standards across teaching, learning and behaviour support

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and NPQH
  • Senior leadership experience within education
  • Strong understanding of SEND, safeguarding and inclusion
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing change
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Resilient, strategic and child-centred leadership style
  • Commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for young people with additional needs
