Job description
We are supporting a well-respected primary school in Northampton who are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their vibrant team.
The school is dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child is valued and encouraged to be themselves. With a strong focus on diversity and inclusion, pupils are supported to feel safe, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
This role is suitable for both part-time and full-time applicants, but you must be available to work between 8:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging learning activities across the primary age range, including leading whole-class sessions when required
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support planning, assessment, and the adaptation of learning to meet individual pupil needs
- Provide targeted support for pupils with a range of learning and additional needs
- Promote a positive classroom environment built on respect, inclusion, and belonging
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to intervention strategies to help close attainment gaps
The successful HLTA will hold:
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies
- Confident in leading whole-class learning
- Committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in education
- Passionate about making a positive impact on children's learning and development
