Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Gravesend

Location: Gravesend and surrounding areas
Salary: £95 - £115 per day, depending on experience and responsibilities
Contract: Short-term / Agency

Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a new opportunity in primary schools across Gravesend?

We are currently looking for confident and reliable HLTAs to support primary schools in Gravesend and the surrounding areas on short-term contracts. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across different schools and year groups and can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will be expected to confidently support learning and, where required, take responsibility for classes in the absence of the class teacher. Strong behaviour management skills are essential, as you will need to maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment.

You may be working across different year groups and schools, so flexibility and adaptability are important.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar senior TA role

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Experience working within a primary school setting

  • Confident supporting and leading learning across different year groups

  • A positive, patient and consistent approach to pupils

  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with staff and children

  • An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Flexibility to work across different primary schools in and around Gravesend
