Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Experience Required

Simply Education is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to work within a number of supportive and inclusive schools across High Wycombe.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate education professional who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a positive and nurturing learning environment.

About the Role

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom support, and help create an inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs
• Delivering planned interventions and small-group learning sessions
• Covering classes when required and supporting lesson delivery
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to raise pupil attainment
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Contributing to the development and wellbeing of pupils across the school

Candidate Requirements

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience in a similar role
• A minimum of 1 year's UK school-based experience
• Proven experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A proactive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting learning
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
• The right to work in the UK
