Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
  • Use assessment information to inform future planning and teaching
  • Support pupils' personal, social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with year group colleagues and support staff
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and attendance
  • Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement priorities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Participate fully in the wider life of the school

Person Specification

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice
  • Has high expectations for all pupils
  • Is committed to continuous professional education and training
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Works effectively as part of a team
  • Is passionate about making a positive difference to children's lives
  • Shows commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
