Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Paid in line with the Teachers' Pay Scale

We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented and dedicated KS2 teacher to join our Outstanding 2-form entry primary school in Basildon from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire pupils
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching and improve outcomes
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement and attendance
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and school leaders
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Contribute to curriculum development and wider school improvement initiatives
  • Participate fully in staff meetings, training and school events

Person Specification

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and subject knowledge
  • Has high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Is committed to ongoing professional education and training
  • Possesses strong communication and organisational skills
  • Is reflective, motivated and eager to develop professionally
  • Works effectively as part of a team
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
