Maths Teacher
Job description
Maths Teacher - Alternative Provision
Temporary to Permanent - September Start
Location: Winsford, Cheshire
About the Role
This isn't just a teaching role.
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join an Alternative Provision in Crewe this September on a temp-to-perm basis.
You will be working with young people who benefit from a different approach to learning students with high SEMH needs, many of whom have experienced challenges in mainstream education or require a more tailored setting to help them thrive.
Here, you won't just teach Maths. You'll rebuild confidence, restore belief, and help young people rediscover what they are capable of.
The Setting
You will teach KS3-KS4 learners in small, carefully supported groups, with clear behaviour structures in place and a highly experienced team working alongside you. The curriculum is thoughtfully adapted so learners can access success and make meaningful progress.
Every day brings variety, and every step forward matters.
You'll be joining a team that focuses on understanding the young person in front of them, building trust over time, and recognising progress in all its forms especially the moments that can easily be missed elsewhere.
The Impact You'll Make
This is the kind of role that reconnects you with why you became a teacher in the first place.
You'll have the opportunity to make a real, visible difference every single day-watching young people slowly rebuild their confidence, begin to trust their abilities again, and start to believe that success in Maths is possible for them.
It's a role that allows you to teach in a way that is creative, responsive, and genuinely meaningful, where relationships and understanding sit at the heart of everything you do.
This isn't about ticking boxes or getting through content. It's about the moments that stay with you long after the lesson ends the breakthrough, the spark of understanding, the "I get it now."
What You'll Receive
- Clear temp-to-perm pathway from September
- Small group teaching (typically 1:3-1:6)
- Highly supportive SEMH-trained team who truly work together
- Strong leadership with calm and consistent behaviour structures already in place
- The chance to rebuild confidence in Maths from the ground up
Who This Role Is For
If you're a Maths Teacher who wants more than repetition if you want purpose, challenge, and the chance to genuinely change lives this is your moment.
