Full Time | Permanent | Term Time Only
Salary: £34,398 - £48,913 + £5,000 Welcome Bonus for Qualified Teachers
40 hours per week

Simply Education are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN school to recruit a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to support pupils aged 6-11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a nurturing and supportive environment where every learner is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Many pupils are working below age-related expectations, so experience or confidence teaching KS1 and early KS2 is highly valued.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you'll deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the educational, emotional and social needs of pupils with additional needs.

You'll work closely with therapists, support staff and school leaders to create positive learning experiences that build confidence, communication and independence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons
  • Adapting learning to meet individual pupil needs
  • Setting and reviewing personalised learning targets
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
  • Supporting EHCP reviews and multi-agency meetings
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Using positive behaviour support strategies effectively

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching primary-aged pupils
  • Understanding of ASD, SEMH and communication needs
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, adaptable and child-centred approach
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
