SEN School Lead

Simply Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Mansfield to recruit an experienced and passionate SEN School Lead. Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious education leader to take ownership of a specialist site, leading high-quality teaching, pastoral provision and day-to-day operations while making a lasting difference to the lives of young people with additional needs.

The Role

• Lead the day-to-day management and operational running of the school site
• Drive high standards in teaching, learning, behaviour, attendance and student outcomes
• Support safeguarding as a Safeguarding Lead, promoting a strong culture of student welfare
• Lead, motivate and develop staff through effective leadership and performance management
• Monitor student progress, use data to drive school improvement and contribute to curriculum development
• Work collaboratively with the Assistant Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven leadership experience within an education setting
• Experience within SEN or alternative provision is highly desirable
• A strong track record of improving behaviour, attendance and student outcomes
• A confident and inspiring leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
• Passionate about creating an inclusive environment where every young person can succeed
