School Lead - Specialist SEN School

Location: Mansfield
Salary: £47,472 + £3,000 Lead Allowance
Hours: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Term Time Only

Simply Education are proud to be working with a specialist education provider in Mansfield to recruit an experienced School Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced education leader who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs. You'll play a key role in leading the school, developing staff and creating a positive learning environment where pupils can thrive.

The Role

As School Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the school, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure high standards of teaching, behaviour, safeguarding and student outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the school
• Supporting high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral care
• Driving improvements in behaviour, attendance and student progress
• Leading, supporting and developing staff
• Promoting a strong culture of safeguarding
• Working closely with families, professionals and the wider leadership team
• Using student progress data to help drive school improvement

What We're Looking For

• Previous leadership experience within a school or specialist education setting
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Experience within SEN or alternative provision is beneficial, but strong leadership experience and the desire to make a difference are just as important
