The successful candidate will play a vital role within the school community, providing medical support and helping to create a safe and nurturing environment where students can thrive.

About the Role

As a School Medical Officer, you will be responsible for:

🩺 Providing first aid and medical assistance to students and staff

🩺 Managing student medical records and individual healthcare plans

🩺 Administering medication in accordance with school policies and procedures

🩺 Supporting students with ongoing medical conditions and additional health needs

🩺 Liaising with parents, carers, healthcare professionals, and school staff

🩺 Promoting health and wellbeing throughout the school community

🩺 Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and medical protocols

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

✔ Previous experience within a healthcare, nursing, medical, or school-based environment

✔ A recognised First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one

✔ Excellent organisational and communication skills

✔ The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy setting

✔ A caring and compassionate approach when supporting young people

✔ Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information

✔ An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
