Simply Education is delighted to be recruiting for a caring, professional, and highly organised School Medical Officer to join a welcoming school in High Wycombe on a permanent, part-time basis starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference within an educational setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting student wellbeing and ensuring the highest standards of medical care are maintained throughout the school day.

Position Details

📍 Location: High Wycombe

📅 Start Date: September 2026

📄 Contract Type: Permanent

⏰ Working Hours: Part-Time - 20 hours per week

🗓️ Working Days: Monday to Friday

🕘 Daily Hours: 9:30am - 1:30pm

Key Responsibilities

🩺 Provide first aid and medical assistance to students and staff

🩺 Administer medication in line with school policies and procedures

🩺 Maintain accurate student medical records and healthcare plans

🩺 Support students with ongoing medical conditions and individual health needs

🩺 Liaise with parents, carers, healthcare professionals, and school staff

🩺 Promote health, wellbeing, and safeguarding across the school community

🩺 Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

The Ideal Candidate

✔ Previous experience within a healthcare, nursing, medical, or school-based setting

✔ Strong communication and organisational skills

✔ A calm, professional, and compassionate approach

✔ The ability to manage confidential information effectively

✔ A recognised First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one

✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
