SEMH Support Assistant - Sandbach, Cheshire

£95-£110 per day (DOE) | Daily Supply and Long-term | Immediate Start Available

Simply Education is recruiting SEMH Support Assistants for our partner SEND schools in Sandbach.

This is a role for people who get SEMH. Who know that a young person shutting down or kicking off is rarely about what it looks like on the surface.

What the role involves:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches
  • 1:1 and small group intervention and mentoring
  • Helping pupils regulate, re-engage and access their school day
  • Working alongside pastoral, SEND and teaching staff
  • Following safeguarding procedures at all times

What we need from you:

  • SEMH experience from schools, youth work, residential care or similar
  • Calm, non-reactive and emotionally intelligent
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
