SEMH Teacher - Northwich, Cheshire

£130-£180 per day (DOE) | Long-term Supply | Immediate and September Starts

SEMH teaching is one of the most demanding and most rewarding things you can do in education. The pupils you'll work with have been let down, overwhelmed or excluded by traditional school environments. Your job is to change that, one lesson at a time.

Simply Education is recruiting an SEMH Teacher for our partner specialist schools in Northwich. We're looking for a qualified teacher who understands that engagement comes before content, that a calm room is built on relationships, and that progress here looks different to anywhere else you've worked.

What the role involves:

  • Delivering structured, differentiated lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Building therapeutic, trusting relationships that make learning feel safe
  • Using trauma-informed, restorative approaches in your classroom practice
  • Working with pastoral and wellbeing teams to support the whole child
  • Collaborating with TAs, SENCOs and external agencies
  • Following safeguarding procedures at all times

What we need from you:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
  • Experience teaching or working with young people with SEMH needs
  • Confident using trauma-informed, de-escalation and restorative approaches
  • Calm, boundaried and professionally resilient
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to Work in the UK
