Simply Education are excited to be working with a school that supports primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication needs. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher with experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH and PDA profiles. The successful candidate will join a highly supportive, multi-disciplinary team and play a key role in delivering engaging, personalised learning experiences that enable every child to thrive.

Many pupils are working below age-related expectations, therefore experience teaching KS1 and lower KS2, alongside a strong understanding of differentiated and therapeutic approaches to learning, would be highly advantageous.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Plan and adapt the curriculum to meet pupils' educational, social and emotional development.
• Create a structured, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Set, monitor and review personalised learning targets.
• Assess, track and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, families and external professionals.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews, PEP meetings and wider multi-agency planning.
• Utilise positive behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed approaches.
• Support pupils with a range of communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who has:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
• Experience teaching within a primary setting.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profiles.
• Experience supporting pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs.
• A creative, adaptable and child-centred approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Experience implementing effective behaviour support strategies, including supporting behaviours that may challenge.
