SEND Teacher - PE Specialism | High Wycombe

Salary: £29,702 - £46,519 per annum
Full Time | 40 hours per week

Simply Education are excited to be working with a specialist SEND setting in High Wycombe, seeking a passionate SEND Teacher with a PE specialism to join their supportive team.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to young people with SEMH and ASD, while delivering engaging, personalised learning in a nurturing specialist environment.

About the Role

You'll be teaching students aged 11-19, with the majority of pupils presenting with SEMH and ASD. The setting has up to 36 students enrolled, allowing for a highly personalised approach to teaching and support.

As a SEND Teacher, you'll plan and deliver engaging lessons, with a particular focus on Physical Education, while adapting learning to meet individual needs and abilities.

You'll also work closely with colleagues to create personalised learning pathways, support positive behaviour and help students overcome barriers to learning.

What We're Looking For

• QTS/QTLS or a Level 5 Teaching Qualification
• PE specialism or strong PE teaching experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience working within SEND or a similar specialist setting
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
