SEN Teaching Assistant

Simply Education is proud to be working in close partnership with a valued client to recruit a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) in the Pwllheli area.

About the role:

This is a part-time role, requiring you to work 3 days per week, supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects, whilst supporting the pupils.

You will benefit from very small class sizes of no more than 4 pupils, allowing you to provide highly personalised support and build meaningful relationships that positively impact each learner's progress and wellbeing.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with care, education, and clinical professionals to support the holistic development of each pupil. The school places a strong emphasis on creating a structured, nurturing environment that reduces barriers to learning and encourages personal growth.

You will play a key role in helping young people build confidence, develop independence, and gain the skills they need to succeed both in education and within their wider community.

Requirements

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience
  • A caring, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting young people
  • Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle - preferred but not essential
