SEN Teaching Assistant - Bexley

Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in a supportive primary school setting?

Simply Education is currently recruiting for multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming Primary Schools in Bexley, part of a well-established trust with excellent support and opportunities for development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for confident and proactive individuals who have experience supporting children in education and are passionate about making a difference to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role will initially be on a contract basis through Simply Education, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff when opportunities arise within the school or trust.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support

• Assisting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties

• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

• Supporting with behaviour management and emotional regulation where needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting

• Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable

• A valid DBS on the Update Service

• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
