SEND Teacher

Job description

SEND Teacher - Alternative Provision | Crewe | Temporary to Permanent | September Start

Location: Crewe

About the Role

This is far more than a teaching position.

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and passionate SEND Teacher to join a welcoming Alternative Provision this September on a temporary to permanent basis.

You do not need previous experience in SEND or Alternative Provision. What matters most is your attitude, your patience, and your genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.

You will be supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, many of whom require a more personalised and nurturing approach to learning.

In this role, progress is not just academic it's personal, emotional, and transformative.

The Setting

You will be working within a structured and highly supportive Alternative Provision where every member of staff plays a vital role in helping learners re-engage with education.

Students benefit from small group learning, clear routines, and a calm, consistent environment designed to help them feel safe and ready to learn.

Lessons are carefully adapted to meet individual needs, with a strong focus on relationships, communication, emotional regulation, and rebuilding confidence in learning.

You will be fully supported by an experienced team who understand the challenges and rewards of Alternative Provision, with guidance in place every step of the way.

The Impact You'll Make

This is the kind of role where success looks different-and means everything.

As a SEND Teacher in Alternative Provision, you'll help young people who may have struggled in mainstream education begin to re-engage, rebuild trust, and experience success on their own terms.

You'll see progress in the smallest but most powerful moments-a learner staying in a lesson, completing a task, making a positive connection, or beginning to believe in themselves again.

This is a role that reminds you what teaching is really about: relationships, patience, consistency, and belief in every young person's potential.

What You'll Receive

  • Temporary to permanent opportunity from September
  • Full training and ongoing support provided - no SEND/AP experience required
  • Small group teaching within a structured Alternative Provision setting
  • Supportive, experienced and collaborative staff team
  • Strong leadership with clear behaviour and support systems in place
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting difference every day
  • Continuous support from Simply Education throughout your placement

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a SEND Teacher who is:

  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable in their approach
  • Open to learning and developing new skills
  • Committed to building strong, trusting relationships with young people

Whether you are a mainstream teacher looking for a new challenge or someone taking your first step into Alternative Provision, this is a highly supportive environment where you will be guided to succeed.

Apply Today

If you're ready to step into a role where your impact is felt every single day, we would love to hear from you.
