Teaching Assistant - SEND

Location: Lincoln, LN6
Contract: Full-time, long-term (depending on EHCP requirements)

Simply Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in LN6, Lincoln, supporting a child with SEND needs on a 2:1 basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential and has experience working with SEND and challenging behaviour.

The Role

As a 2:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the child, another teaching assistant, and the wider school team to provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day. You will help create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment while supporting the child both academically and emotionally.

The successful candidate will be confident managing challenging behaviour, able to build positive relationships and remain calm and consistent when faced with difficult situations.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Be confident supporting children who display challenging behaviour.
• Have a calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work effectively as part of a 2:1 support team and alongside teaching staff.
• Have a positive and nurturing approach to behaviour management.
• Be reliable, professional and committed to a full-time, long-term role.
• Be passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
