Simply Education are currently working with a SEND school in Gravesend that is looking to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and are looking for either full-time or flexible working arrangements.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs both in and out of the classroom

• Working across different year groups and curriculum pathways as required

• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning experiences

• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development

• Promoting a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with SEND pupils

• Experience within a SEND school or specialist setting is highly desirable

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to be flexible, adaptable and confident working with different age groups and needs

• A calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting pupils

• Team Teach training (highly beneficial, but not essential)

• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
