Simply Education is working with a welcoming primary SEND school in Maidstone that is looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team on a supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with a range of additional needs while enjoying the flexibility that supply work offers.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Working closely with teachers and the wider support team to deliver engaging learning experiences

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support where required

  • Encouraging pupils' independence, confidence and social development

  • Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a school setting

  • Experience working within a primary school is desirable

  • A patient, adaptable and positive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Team Teach training is advantageous but not essential

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

  • Willingness to complete all required safeguarding and compliance checks
