Location: Broadstairs, Kent
Salary: Competitive daily rates

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Broadstairs? Simply Education is working with a number of welcoming mainstream primary schools seeking dedicated, patient and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.

Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day supply or a long-term role, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within mainstream primary classrooms.

  • Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs.

  • Work closely with class teachers and the school's SEND team to help pupils access the curriculum.

  • Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and engagement in learning.

  • Adapt to working across different primary year groups and school settings as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant within a mainstream primary school or similar setting.

  • A strong understanding of supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.

  • Flexible, reliable and able to travel to schools across the Thanet area.

  • Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.

  • A patient, caring and proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
