Simply Education are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across Ashford.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children with additional needs and can provide consistent, positive support both in and outside the classroom.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Working alongside class teachers and the wider support team

  • Helping pupils access learning and develop their confidence and independence

  • Supporting with behaviour management and emotional regulation

  • Adapting activities to meet individual needs

  • Providing a calm, patient and encouraging approach

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND in a primary setting

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Patient, nurturing and confident in supporting individual needs

  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Reliable and committed to providing consistency for pupils

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
