The Role

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure continuity of learning for pupils.

Daily Supply Cover

For daily sickness and emergency cover, we require teachers who are:

• Available and ready to accept supply bookings on days they have confirmed availability
• Flexible and able to travel to schools across Chelmsford
• Professional, punctual and adaptable to different school environments
• Confident delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups

Short-Term and Long-Term Cover

For short-term and long-term placements, teachers will be expected to:

• Fully commit to the school and become an integral member of the team
• Take full responsibility for the assigned class
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons where required by the school
• Mark pupils' work and provide feedback in line with school policies
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Attend relevant meetings and contribute positively to the wider school community
• Uphold the highest standards of teaching and learning

Requirements

We are looking for a Supply Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Has recent experience teaching within UK primary schools
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
• Is committed to raising standards and pupil achievement
• Has a flexible and professional approach to teaching
• Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Values continuous professional education and training
