Salary: £32,916 - £47,472 + £5,000 Welcome Bonus

Simply Education is working with a specialist school in Reading seeking a dedicated Teacher to support students aged 11-16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The Role

You will:

  • Deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons tailored to individual learners
  • Support pupils academic progress, wellbeing, and independence
  • Work closely with support staff and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement
  • Help create a positive, nurturing learning environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead teaching and learning for assigned pupils, ensuring progress and wellbeing
  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Supervise, mentor, and support classroom staff
  • Take curriculum leadership responsibility, including:
    • Monitoring standards
    • Supporting colleagues
    • Advising on resources
    • Leading CPD sessions
  • Contribute to whole-school planning and development
  • Uphold the school's values and therapeutic approach in daily practice

What We're Looking For

  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent
  • A passion for SEN education
  • Experience in SEN/ASD settings (desirable)
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Confidence adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs
