Teaching Assistant (Supply) - Faversham

Location: Faversham, Kent

Simply Education are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day supply basis in a range of welcoming primary schools across Faversham from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety, are adaptable, and are confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. As supply work can vary each day, you'll need to be flexible and happy travelling to different schools within the local area.

A good understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential, as many of the schools require support for children with a range of additional needs.

The Role

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.

  • Work with individuals, small groups and whole classes when required.

  • Provide additional support for pupils with SEND, adapting to their individual needs.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Be flexible and confident working across different year groups and school settings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a primary school is desirable.

  • Experience supporting children with SEND is essential.

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

  • The ability to travel to schools across Faversham and the surrounding areas.
