Location: Newark-on-Trent
Pay: £85.44 - £101.58 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: 8th June 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term
Duration: Until 27th July 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newark, working within an EYFS classroom. Early Years is one of the most important stages in a child's education, helping to build the confidence, independence, communication, and social skills that shape their future learning journey.

This role is perfect for a nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who understands the importance of creating a safe, engaging, and positive environment where children can thrive. From supporting children as they take their first steps in reading and writing to celebrating the small everyday achievements that make such a big difference, no two days in EYFS are ever the same.

This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with pupils, encourage curiosity through play-based learning, and make a genuine impact during a key stage of development. You'll become part of a supportive school community where your role will be valued and where every day brings new opportunities to inspire young learners.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils within an EYFS classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily learning activities
  • Providing support to children on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Helping to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and educational development

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or within a school setting
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • Passion for supporting Early Years development
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
