Night Support Worker

Location: Near Cranborne, Dorset (Rural Location)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 7:45pm - 8:15am | 4 on, 4 off rota
Average Hours: 43.75 hours per week

Salary

• £28,141.75 - £30,689.75 per year
• Hourly Rate: £12.37 - £13.49
• Plus £25 per night shift worked (approximately an additional £4,000 per year)

Night Support Worker - Make a Difference Every Night

Simply Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist education and care provider for a compassionate and dedicated Night Support Worker to join their team supporting young people aged 16-25 with autism, social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people develop the confidence and independence they need to move into adult life, further education, training, or employment.

The Role

Working as part of the night team, you'll take over from the day staff and support students throughout the evening and overnight. This role does not involve personal care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with their evening routines and helping them settle for the night.
• Providing emotional support and being a trusted, reassuring presence.
• Encouraging participation in evening activities, hobbies and leisure interests.
• Using verbal and visual prompts tailored to each young person's individual needs.
• Monitoring students' wellbeing and responding appropriately throughout the night.
• Liaising with parents, carers and colleagues where required.
• Promoting independence by encouraging life skills and positive decision-making.

About You

No previous experience is required - full training will be provided and funded. We're looking for people who are:

Essential Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to the rural location).
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older due to the age of the young people being supported.
