Tutor
Job description
Simply Education is looking for passionate and dedicated educators in Nantwich and surrounding areas to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people who need that extra boost in their education.
This is more than just a tutoring role - it's your opportunity to make a real, lasting impact. You'll help rebuild confidence, reignite a love of learning, and support students in overcoming barriers to reach their full potential.
Whether you're guiding a primary pupil through key literacy skills or helping a secondary student succeed in their exams, you'll play a vital role in shaping their future. Every session is a chance to inspire, motivate, and truly change a young person's educational journey.
If you're looking for a rewarding role where your work genuinely matters, this is it.
The Role:
As a tutor with Simply Education, you'll deliver personalised, 1:1 learning sessions tailored to each individual student. You'll work with a diverse range of learners across Primary and Secondary phases, including Looked After Children (LAC) and pupils who need additional emotional or academic support.
- Make Learning Personal: Deliver engaging English, Maths, or Science sessions (KS1-KS4) in a way that truly connects with each student.
- Reignite Engagement: Support learners-including those with SEND, SEMH, or other barriers-to rebuild confidence and reconnect with education.
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Create strong, trusting connections with pupils and their families, becoming a consistent and positive influence.
- Create Real Progress: Work at a pace that suits the child, helping them achieve success and transition back into school or structured learning environments.
Perks and Benefits:
- Competitive Pay: Earn £28-£30 per hour, with regular pay reviews and increases.
- Flexible Working: Take control of your schedule - choose the assignments and hours that suit your lifestyle.
- Local Placements: Work close to home, with opportunities typically within 15-30 minutes of your address.
- Fast-Track Registration: Enjoy a streamlined onboarding process with quick registration and prompt interview turnaround.
- Free CPD & Training: Enhance your skills with complimentary online courses led by our Professional Learning Specialist, including Trauma-Informed Teaching, Behaviour Management, and more.
- Flexible Payment Options: Choose how you get paid - PAYE or Umbrella, whichever suits you best.
- Wellbeing Support: Your wellbeing is a priority. We provide free access to mental health support services for all staff.
- Free Teaching Resources: Access a wide range of high-quality resources to support and enhance your tuition sessions.
Requirements:
We're looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and confident in their ability to support learners:
- Strong Subject Knowledge: Confident in delivering Maths, English, or Science (other subjects are welcome)
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 1 year's teaching or tutoring experience. QTS or PGCE is advantageous, but we also welcome experienced Cover Supervisors / HLTA's / Degree Graduates with Tuition Experience.
- Empathetic Approach: Patient, adaptable, and able to tailor learning to meet individual needs.
- Safeguarding Commitment: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
If you're passionate about helping children reach their full potential, we can't wait to hear from you.
