• Functional Skills English
• Science

• PSHE
• Vocational subjects

This rewarding opportunity involves supporting pupils who may have struggled within mainstream education and require a more personalised, nurturing and supportive approach to learning.

The provision supports young people with a range of needs including:

• Social, emotional and mental health needs
• Autism and additional learning needs
• Anxiety and low confidence
• Behavioural challenges and barriers to learning

Many pupils have experienced difficulties within education and benefit from positive role models who can help rebuild confidence, trust and find there love for learning.

The Role

As a Tutor or Teacher within the provision, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Build positive and trusting relationships with learners
• Encourage confidence, resilience and independence
• Support pupils to achieve qualifications and personal goals
• Help create a calm and supportive learning environment

The role is about far more than qualifications it is about helping young people believe in themselves again.

What We're Looking For

• Experience teaching or tutoring within your subject specialism
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience working with young people with additional needs or behavioural challenges is desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

Experience within alternative provision, SEND, youth work, mentoring or pastoral support would be highly beneficial.
