Contract: Full-Time

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Gravesend is seeking an experienced and committed Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September.
This is initially a fixed-term position running until December, with the possibility of extending beyond this date for the right candidate. The school is keen to secure the right person quickly and will be reviewing suitable applications as they are received.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 6 class, including planning, preparation, assessment, and marking. You will be joining a collaborative staff team that is committed to ensuring pupils are fully prepared for the transition to secondary education.
The Role:
Full class teaching responsibilities within Year 6
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Marking and assessment of pupil progress
Preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage expectations
Working closely with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A good understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and expectations
The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
