As a Design Technology Teacher at a secondary school in Greater Manchester, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to students, fostering their creativity and technical skills in design, engineering, and manufacturing. Your main duties will include:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of all students, ensuring progress and attainment.

• Teaching a range of design technology subjects, which may include Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, and Electronics.

• Inspiring students to explore and develop their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills.

• Providing a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to health and safety regulations in the workshop or classroom.

• Assessing and monitoring students' progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their academic and personal development.

• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement the curriculum, schemes of work, and teaching resources.

• Contributing to extracurricular activities and school events, such as design competitions and workshops.

• Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and collaborative learning community.

The role requires a passionate, innovative, and dedicated individual with excellent subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students. A background in design technology or engineering, along with teaching experience, is essential for this role.
