Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Rugby
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum
About Us: Simply Education, a prominent education recruitment consultancy, is working closely with a respected secondary school in Rugby to find a dedicated Geography Teacher who will inspire and educate students.
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Geography Teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The ideal candidate will have experience in a UK secondary school or will be graduating this year. Knowledge of the national curriculum for Geography is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and informative Geography lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and geographical exploration.
• Use effective teaching methods to enhance students' understanding of geographical concepts and skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum.
• Participate in parents' evenings, school events, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
• PGCE in Geography Education.
• Valid DBS check.
• Ideally, experience working in a UK secondary school or set to graduate this year.
• Knowledge of the national curriculum for Geography.
