We are looking for a Teaching Assistant - Behaviour and Inclusion to join our growing Northampton SEN Team! As a Teaching Assistant - Behaviour and Inclusion, you will be supporting challenging behaviours across the school and ensuring everyone is being included in all they do. We are looking for a passionate individual to join our Teaching Assistant Behaviour and Inclusion team in supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Do you have experience working with children and vulnerable adults? Looking for a new rewarding role to support children in their progression and development? As a Teaching Assistant - Behaviour and Inclusion, you will be supporting students in their development and progression. Learning mentors will have additional training available to support behaviour and social emotional and mental health needs to ensure you are prepared for the Secondary experience.

As a Teaching Assistant - Behaviour and Inclusion you will:

Build positive relationships with students to understand their needs

Implement effective behaviour strategies tailored to each child

Monitor behaviour and track progress, liaising with parents

Support teachers to create inclusive lesson plans

Promote self-esteem, social skills, and emotional regulation

Collaborate with the SENCO and other specialists

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience with children with challenging behaviours

Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills

A patient, compassionate and encouraging approach

Enthusiasm for championing vulnerable students

Psychology graduates are strongly encouraged to apply! Training will be provided to the right candidate.
