Complaints policy and procedure

Simply Education is committed to providing a high level of service to our customers. In the first instance, we will always try to resolve any issues informally. However, if your concerns cannot be satisfactorily resolved in that manner, then the formal complaints procedure should be followed

In regards to any complaints, we will always promise to:

  • Ensure making a complaint is simple for you to do

  • Respond promptly, politely and confidentially (where appropriate)

  • Apologise if we've made a mistake, or explain if something was out of our control

  • Learn from complaints in order to improve our customer service

Candidate compliance standards

At Simply Education, we follow rigorous compliance standards to ensure the safety and well-being of both our candidates and the students they work with. These checks are essential for candidates to ensure they meet the highest professional and safeguarding standards.

What do these compliance checks involve?

  • Security checks, including Right to Work in the UK, DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service), Barred List, TRA (Teaching Regulation Agency), Online Searches, Ofsted Disqualification and Overseas Police Clearances

  • Employment and academic history for the last 10 years, with references covering a minimum of the last 2 years

  • Verification of qualifications, including overseas qualifications and fitness to work declaration

  • Relevant training in Safeguarding and Cyber Security

  • Registration interview with a Safer Recruitment & Safeguarding trained recruitment consultant

Why are these compliance checks important?

These checks are part of the statutory guidance, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), which all schools must follow. By adhering to this guidance, Simply Education ensures that our candidates are fully prepared to work in any school with confidence, knowing that safety is our top priority. We are proud members of the REC, having been awarded the REC Audited Education Status in December 2013, demonstrating our commitment to high compliance standards. This strong compliance gives us a competitive edge, reassuring schools that our candidates are thoroughly vetted and reliable, which helps build trust and sets us apart from others.
